Wakefield Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our busy Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a part-time basis. This fast-paced role requires a dedicated professional with excellent assessment and decision-making skills.

Respond to and assess referrals concerning children and families, identifying immediate needs and risks.

Participate in multi-agency discussions and contribute to safeguarding decisions.
Complete accurate and timely records, adhering to statutory guidelines and timescales.
Work collaboratively with other agencies to coordinate responses and ensure children's safety.
Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working within a MASH or similar fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Experience of working with children at risk of significant harm is essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to child-centered practice and safeguarding.
